Biternas Bruges and rites (Pallars): Valentina for Eulàlia

Surely one of the best known of Biternas is its' Boch ', her goat and its role in the local witches' sabbath. In legal briefs at the time, especially in the "Oridnacions de les Valls d'Àneu" (1424), speaks of the presence of witches in the area, meeting at night to worship the Boch. What is curious about the mention of Boch is that at no point in the text is considered to represent the Devil Boch, and that worship is not worship certainly reads like a demon, only magic. Once Biternas, of course, the witches, in this case did not contemplate the presence of witches, carried out infanticide or causes swellings in the neck area.

Example Biternas witchcraft in the case of Valentina Guarner, acussada, hung and burned as a witch last year 1485. During his trial, and probably under torture, "Valentina said she had conducted rituals of honoring the Biternas Boch, and had also killed children, but refused to do the same with your child.
